I’m a woman first and women go through an array of issues, that cross all nationalities. We all love, hurt, laugh, cry, stalk; were intelligent, ambitious, sexy, humorous, lovers of our children and families. We experience things that truly make us Psychotic, Erotic and Neurotic. Every woman is beautiful in her own unique way. I celebrate being a woman and would not trade my place for any amount of money in the world. That’s why I write for healing and dealing. God gave me this talent for a reason; to educate and to put into words some things we feel but cannot express. My poetry covers the gambit of what being a woman is all about. As women let’s take control of our lives and do it our way! Don’t let anyone else write the script to your movie! I got the music theme from “Love Jones” in my head. I think this is provocative and inspiring piece of work that makes want to live the reality of it. I think that this poem glides like a smooth plane with rythmn and blues sound coming from a distance place. I love it. U do your thang girl.
Your words are the deep, soul searching type. As black men, we should. Your words sing of love to be or love lost. So many of us men, dont deserve the love the black women, this however it good to see a sister stay loyal to her black man. “My Alpha and Omega” that is some powerful words to read. I like your style; Simple and not over done. keep inspiring. Keep the love in your heart. It shows in your work.

Just wanted to share this with you. I was showing Patrick Chante’s stories so he read Thug Passion to me (we choose that one). When he was finished, he got up from the chair, closed the book and said, “Do you have any ice in the freezer?”. Thanks to you Chante, I had a lovely night. (two nights in a row!)
